Disney’s All Star Sports Resort

20161030_183616

On my last visit to Disney, I was able to stay at the All Star Sports Resort. I’ve previously stayed at The Swan and The Caribbean Beach Resort but this was my first time at an All Star Resort.

This resort is considered a value resort and luckily for us we found a lot of value in staying here. For starters, the price was much more reasonable than our previous stays on Disney property. We were able to take advantage of the Disney shuttles to and from the parks and we also received Magic Bands that worked as our park tickets and room keys. Our stay at The Swan did not include Magic Bands or even a shuttle from the airport.

Vacation Countdown~ 102 days left!!

Today is the final day in our version of 5 days of Disney. We thought we would share pictures from our 2009 trip. We stayed at the Caribbean Beach Resort located on Disney property. We have no idea why, but we didn’t take one picture of the outside of the resort. Seriously, that’s a bummer!

We did however, take a few pictures of our pirate themed room. We absolutely loved the theming Disney incorporated into the rooms. On this particular trip we traveled with other family who also had pirate themed room. Our room was handicapped accessible, which was nice but not needed for us. Since the room was handicapped accessible it was slightly different than our trip mates room, which was ok with us, since it actually gave us extra room.

Some of the highlights of the room theming was the bed, the dresser and the shower. We even loved that the Disney housekeeping left us a little pirate themed ducky made out of wash cloths. It was a really cute touch that we enjoyed after returning to our rooms after a long day at the park.

The resort itself is really nice and we really did enjoy it although for us it felt like a lot of work. This was the first and only time we did not have a rental car and were completely confined to Disney property. Our hotel room was really far away from everything to the pools, front desk, eatery and even the bus stops. We spent a majority of our time trying to navigate through the resort which is huge and was really crowded with people. This was a July trip so the stifling heat didn’t help. We would certainly stay here again, as long as the trip itinerary includes a rental car.
