Birch Box- August

So earlier in the week, my August Birch Box arrived. I was excited to see what was in this latest box.

This month’s theme, sticking with the summer season, was “soak it up!”

The Guide

Benefit Cosmetics Watt’s Up Highlighter

This is a face highlighter that gives your skin a champagne glow. It is a cream to powder highlighter that allows your best features to truly shine. This is a sample size but the full size version retails for $30.

Coola Face SPF 30 Unscented Matte Tint

This is a facial moistuerizer used to even out skin tones and create a matte finish. It is a natural and unscented BB cream. A full size retails at $36.

Dr. Brandt Pores No More Cleanser

This cleanser is used to smooth skin and reduce the amount of blackheads. It is for oily/dry skin and is an award winning gel cleanser. A full size retails at $35.

Dr. Jart+ Vital Hydra Solution Deep Hydration Sheet Mask

This sheet mask is used on the face to hydrate the skin and assist in naturally retaining the skins moisture. This is a cellulose sheet mask and retails at $6.

Klorane Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk- Natural Tint

This is a lightweight spray used to absorb grease in the hair. It is used to revive hair without needing to wash hair daily. This particular one is a natural tint made especially for brunettes. A full size retails at $20.

So now that I’ve checked out all the items in this month’s box I have to admit that I am still not impressed with Birch Box overall. I do want to use the sheet mask, Pores No More and Watt’s Up! For some reason though Birch Box has never hit it right with me and each month I prefer Ipsy more and more. I am really considering canceling this subscription and have been for a few months now. I’m not sure what I will do so I guess we’ll see if I get another next month.

What are your thoughts on this month’s box contents? Let me know in the comments.
