Star Wars Character Breakfast at the Sci Fi Diner

One of the most memorable experiences that we had during our trip to Disney for Star Wars Weekend was having breakfast with the characters at the Sci Fi Diner. While planning our trip we didn’t think we would have the opportunity to to do this because all the reservations seemed to be filled up. Persistence paid off and we just kept checking the Disney website until a spot finally opened up!

The breakfast began with a photo op with Darth Vader and Bobba Fett. We were so thrilled for the opportunity. Laura really wanted to get a picture hugging Vader but the line was really getting long and we didn’t want to push our luck. Looking back she should have just done it!

We were then seated in our little vehicle that is also a table before being given a menu. We didn’t do much research about the food options before we ventured to Disney, mostly because we were just so excited to have been able to get reservations.

After being seated we were delivered menus by our fabulous waitress who we must give major props to! She was so kind and quick. Whenever she delivered anything to our table she was so fast that we didn’t even notice she had been there until we saw something new in front of us!

The first item she brought to us was a whole bunch of yummy sweet goodness! It included vanilla creme turnovers, puff pastry sticks, cinnamon rolls and double chocolate brownies! Our favorites were the vanilla creme turnovers with the Vader head on them. They were just so delicious!

In the meantime our waitress delivered us some orange juice and coffee which is what we opted for. They also offered sodas, blue milk and even mimosas. After our drinks arrived the food just kept coming! We were then given fresh fruit cups and greek yogurt with granola toppings. The melon Yoda was really cool and of course Disney had to add the Star Wars effect!

The next item we received were our entrees. There was so ย many to choose from including the Imperial Delight, Darth Vader Waffles and the Ackbar Surprise. Dave opted for the Tatooine Sunrise which included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and breakfast potatoes which he really enjoyed.

Laura opted for the Imperial Delight. It was a macadamia crusted french toast with mascarpone and fresh berries. ย The berries were the largest berries we had ever seen and the french toast was incredibly good.

While we were eating our breakfast we had some visitors. Watching them interact with other guests while we ate was a lot of fun. The entertainment value was priceless. Here are some pictures of the characters we saw!

Stormtroopers

Greedo

Jawa

And another visit from a colorful Stormtrooper!

Overall our breakfast was awesome! We had an incredibly delicious meal that really can’t be compared to any other breakfast we’ve ever had. Disney really out did themselves on this one. Our waitress was just delightful and the overall experience was incredible. Certainly one we will not be forgetting anytime soon!

Oh and we can’t forget about our lightsabers we received when we exited the restaurant. Now we can have our own battle at home! Who do you think would win?

Re your new PR page, total home run! (In fact I may need to borrow your outline if that is okay. ) Have a few lil suggestions but overall totally awesome sauce!!
(I haven’t done so yet but plan to, having a picture of yourself as well as a few personal things about yourself such as age, marriage status, passion’s, where you see your blog 5 year’s from now and so on is a major attraction to/for gaining sponsors. )

      2. I can totally see that conversation right now! I am so guilty of not doing much on my twitter. I’m so terrible at it! I was doing alright when I went on vacation but now I am really slacking…. time to get back on track!!!!

      3. Ha! I knew you’d see that convo happening! Lmao!!
Btw Somehow I’ve managed to get Dave Lackie (major world renowned make-up guru) and the fabulous Nina Westbury (another major industry guru ) chatting with me on Twitter. Important connections to be having! No idea just how I pulled that off but I’m not asking no questions! LOL!! Oh, but point being David Lackie has dream giveaway contests going all the time! And I’m talking about the holy grails such as Dior, YSL and so on. So I’ve been entering both of our names b/c quite often he asks that a person tag a fellow beauty lover. So should you ever get a notification that you’ve won something amazing that’s why. ๐Ÿ™‚
I didn’t realize the potential & power of tweeting until Dave & Nina started conversing with me. Not joking on Friday I spent a good 5hrs in the 3 way convo! Exhausting but was fun too!

      5. Okay because you are dancing I shall get up off my tired grumpy start and dance too!..lol And thankoo!!

Actually I almost fell over with excitement when Nina followed me. Just knowing I can butt in on any convo those two are having does feel amazing! It all started when I was supposed to go see & meet them both when they came here to Calgary for the day. But I woke up in a bad lupus like flair up so was too sick to go. I was literally crying b/c it was a once in a lifetime chance! So I emailed Dave Lackie that I couldn’t attend and wanted to make sure someone else could use my ticket. Once the event had started, Dave kept tweeting pictures (which made me cry even more) so I’d tweet the occasional tweet throughout the day. Come evening at another event both of them were tweeting so I started tweeting back funny stuff. Anyway Dave & Nina both Told me they were hoping to come back in the fall so they’d definitely see me then.. Finger’s crossed I get invited to the red carpet event! I think there’s a high chance that I will. Which again, has endless possibilities! Once again it sucks that we live where we do b/c I always automatically think “hooray Laura can come, or Laura will enjoy this..” kind of stuff.
I tried super hard to win us the Dior Nail polishes. Now I’m trying hard to win us the bff contest. But I’m not lucky!! Anyhoo that reminds me I better go enter again! Would be awesome to win anything he gives away! I think I’ve entered us on instagram too..or thought I did.
