During our Star Wars Weekend 2015 vacation we took a few hours away from Disney and ventured down to International Drive to check out the new I-Drive 360 complex that houses Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, The Orlando Eye and Sea Life, Orlando Aquarium.
During our last visit to Orlando the I-Drive 360 complex was still under construction so we didn’t have the opportunity to visit. On this trip, the heat was stifling and according to our rental car had reached a whopping 99 degrees! We figured it was time to cool off and get out of the sun so we made our way back to our rental car and opted for an indoor experience which is how we ended up at Madame Tussaud’s.
First off we should mention that we before this visit we had never been to a Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum so we were completely new to this experience. There are at least 2 other locations that we are aware of, Las Vegas and London. We were really excited to not only get out of the extreme heat but have the opportunity to take pictures with some of our favorite celebrities, icons and characters!
We were quite surprised with how many wax figures adorned the museum. It seemed as if every corner housed more and more well known figures. Having said that we were a little disappointed with the layout and found it a little difficult while taking some of the pictures. Not so much because of where they were located but because of the other guests. We found that some people just stood or sat next to the figures without a care in the world. Most of these people weren’t even taking pictures but rather just standing there taking up space lost in a galaxy far far away!! I can’t lie either, it made both of us feel a little like Grumpy Cat!
Overall the experience was a lot of fun. We got to take some really cool pictures with some of the world’s most known celebrities and icons making for some really memorable pictures.
