A Sephora Nail Polish Haul!

Just in case you are wondering, I’ve banned myself from Sephora. I am refusing to go back ever again! I spend far too much money there! 🙂

So here is what I bought-

The first thing I got was the Ciate mini ice cream collection. It included 5 mini nail polishes.

The colors are (going in order from the  above picture, left to right.)

Iced Frappe- a slightly tan/gray color

Make It Butter Fudge- an orange color

Pistachi-ooh-la-la- a mint green color

Double Bubblegum- A purple/blue color

Wham Bam Strawberry Jam- A light pink color

Also included in the set was nail art stickers that appear to be melting ice cream, perfect for the upcoming summer months. (I forgot to take a picture of them before I started using them. 😦 )

The other items I purchased were Formula X – The System and a separate polish called Demolition to complete the set.

The set includes 3 steps and I purchased separately another step.

Step 1 is Cleanse- Used to remove any residue.

Step 2 is Prime- Used to prime the nail ensuring better nail polish adhesion.

Step 3 is to choose your own color- I purchased this separately and went with Demolition.

Step 4 is Shine- Used to provide a shiny top coat.

I am really excited to try these polishes out. I’ve never used either brand, Ciate or Formula X until now. I’ve heard great things from other bloggers and I’ll be sure to let you know my opinion once I use the Formula X. What are your thoughts about these two brands of polishes?

  1. I have just discovered Sephora and Formula X nail polish and LOVE it! I bought the same set you did for the cleaner, top coat, base coat and its amazing. I’ve never had nail polish last two weeks and still look perfect. I’m not exaggerating 🙂 I stopped painting my nails when I was in my 20s because the polish would always look awful after a day or two… not with this system. I can’t stop raving about it! I also use their “instant dry” spray. Fantastic!

  2. I have not used either yet. I do have a couple Formula X polishes here to try soon though. I just have the polishes, not the system, as I already have enough base and top coat. Sephora is fun, but I do buy too much stuff from them!

      1. it all does add up! online Sephora sometimes has good stuff on sale though. The physical stores near me do not have much on sale at all (mostly nothing). the sephora inside jcpenney does seem to have a sale section though. the points add up though, so its good to have the free VIB card they do. you can get freebies eventually with those points (online or in store). probably you know that though. 🙂

      2. I learned about the points the first time I went in there. I think that is such a great idea especially if you buy a lot. I didn’t know JC Penney has a Sephora store inside! I was just there the other day. Maybe the one close to me doesn’t have one? I am going to have to check the next time I go in there!
