I went shopping again!

As you probably can tell, shopping is one of my favorite past times! Hey, atleast I know I’m good at! πŸ™‚ I think the only thing I enjoy more is vacationing at Disney or Universal Studios! This time around I forced Dave, grumbling and mumbling the whole time, along with me. He wasn’t thrilled but it seems as though he might be getting used to it. Plus we had to do some food shopping and he’s very particular about his food so he didn’t have much of a choice but to come along with me.

Our first stop was to Burlington Coat Factory. Dave seriously did not want to go! His words to me were “but it’s Spring and we don’t need coats.” as if that’s all they sell. Then when we got there a sign on the building said “Baby Depot” which he then told me we shouldn’t go in because they only sell “baby things.” WRONG! As if he could fool me that easily!

Here’s what I got-

A cute pair of black sandal wedges- $14.99

A black sleeveless top with detachable necklace- $10.99

Wet N’ Wild Magnetic Nail Polish Set -$4.99

The set includes 3 polishes with magnets on each cap. The colors are ( from left to right)

Then we ended up at Wal-Mart because we do a lot of our food shopping there. We live in a city that borders the state of Massachusetts. Our state of New Hampshire doesn’t charge sales tax so we get many people that drive up just to avoid paying sales tax. The down side is that our local grocery stores are completely over loaded with people which makes it easier for us to just go to Wal-Mart.

As I was meandering down the clearance aisle something spotted my eye. It’s like sales and deals are just drawn to my eyes like a magnet. I ended up with a 5 piece set of scented nail polish. They are really cute and shaped like ice cream cones. Each bottle is not named by color. I also don’t know what it is supposed to be scented like. None of them smell good. They just smell like glue! They were on clearance for $3.00.

I’m really excited to try out the magnetic polishes. I know I also ordered some off Ebay so hopefully those will arrive soon! I’ve been waiting to find a set in the store and was really happy that I was able to.

Have you tried any magnetic polishes?

  1. I have tried a magnetic nail polish to mixed results. But maybe you have more patience than I do πŸ™‚

I also have to say I laughed at your comment about avoiding your grocery stores to go to Wal-mart. Here in Winnipeg, it’s just the opposite. People will shop at grocery stores to avoid the crowds at Wal-mart! I hate shopping at Wal-mart and prefer to go just before they close when it’s quieter. Plus I’ve had nothing but bad experience with their produce and perishables. I avoid the food there. So different…

So I’m curious, you forced Dave to go shopping… what activity of his do you have to do? πŸ˜‰

    1. I am being forced to attend Halloween Horror nights this year. Also his long drawn out stories about what happened at work. It’s usually about construction and I usually have no idea what he’s talking about. Next week we are going to Star Wars weekend at Disney which was what he wanted to do. I try to be fair! Lol I don’t buy a lot of produce from Wal-Mart this time of the year because our farmers market is too good to pass up. Plus we have a huge garden so a lot of veggies comes from there!
