I Won A Giveaway!

I was so excited when I saw a comment from The Glitter Mirror telling me I had won her blog giveaway! I don’t usually win anything so I was so excited! I had been following her blog so when I saw she was running a giveaway I figured why not enter. I would like to suggest to anyone reading this that you check out her blog. I personally enjoy her makeup reviews and of course her sense of style. I’ve really liked many of the things she’s shared and I’ve even bought a few of them! šŸ™‚

I’d like to share what I won from her giveaway. Not only did I love the items she sent me but it’s given me some great ideas for my own giveaway. So here’s what I got!

I also must point out that she did a wonderful job wrapping everything. When my husband brought it in from the mailbox I had just started painting my nails so I wasn’t able to open it myself. I asked him to open it for me and he kindly obliged. As he began pulling things out he couldn’t believe that there was so much stuff in it.

The first items were some individually wrapped tea bags. I loved this because I am a big tea drinker. My favorite brand is Bigelow and I have never tried the kinds she sent me. The other brands I have never tried so I can’t wait to make myself a nice hot cup of tea and give them a try.

The next items were lip liners by NYX. One is in Citrine and the other is in Dolly Pink. I don’t wear a lot of lip liner so I am hoping that by using these I will become a little better with applying lip liner.

20150420_164339Next up is an Annapolis Candle scented in Bay Breeze. I personally enjoy burning candles so this was perfect. The scent is lovely and what is even better is that it doesn’t give me a headache. This makes me really happy because I am very sensitive to many smells.

The next item is one of my favorites. It’s a Betsey Johnson zippered pouch. I love all things pink so I thought this was fabulous. Plus who can’t use another makeup bag? I also love the flowered design and immediately started switching out my makeup to this bag!

Another fun item included was an eyeshadow pencil in Aquatic Style. I’ve never worn such a bright color and I’m excited to give this one a shot. It reminds me of being a kid. I have an aunt that used to always wear a similar blue so this makes me really want to try it out.

To go along with the last item is a Milani liquid eyeliner in Infinite. It’s a lovely blue color and also reminds me of the aunt I mentioned with the previous item. That aunt is a red head so she can get away with wearing blue. I have dark brown hair so I’m hoping it won’t look silly. Either way I am going to give it a go!

The next item is a Milani eye shadow pencil in Sand Dunes. I’m really excited about this eye shadow because it’s similar to colors I would normally wear. I’m hoping I can apply and blend it correctly.

20150420_164807A small white picture frame. I think it is really cute and the border looks as if it is ruffled and kind of reminds me of Cinderella, when the mice are making her dress! I have a great picture of my grandmother and myself that I am going to put in it.

Another great item included was Sally Hansen Extreme Wear in Kelp Yourself. I love Sally Hansen and the color is perfect for Spring and Summer. I can’t wait to start using this. I have a few nail art ideas I’d like to try.

20150420_164909Who doesn’t like neon pink? I know I certainly do and of course you probably know how obsessed I am with nail polish! This is Hot Pink Obsession by Ruby Kisses. I’ve never used this brand before and I am excited to try it out. I’ve got even more nail art ideas for this polish!

The next thing was a beautiful Dream Catcher necklace. It was donated by BodyBitscom@Etsy.com for this giveaway. Along with the necklace came an informational printout explaining Dream Catchers and the traditions of the Objiwa tribe. I am a huge fan of Dream Catchers and of course the color pink. I think this necklace is absolutely lovely and I know I will be wearing it quite a bit!

I’d like to thank The Glitter Mirror for choosing me as the winner of her blog giveaway! I have to mention again that you visit and follow her blog and see what she’s all about. I know I love following her blog and look forward to seeing more of her posts!

I am planning a giveaway hopefully by my birthday in July or August. I was reading on Raffelcopter to make sure the prizes are uniquely wrapped and go for a $500 retail value total or put something rare inside. I’m going for both!! )

      1. It’s a great idea! I love Rafflecopter although I’m still learning how it all work’s to do a giveaway. It’s such a fun way to give back to our reader’s. Takes a lot of planning though no doubt about it. šŸ™‚
Cannot wait to see what you will come up with too. I’m sure it will be amazing!! šŸ™‚

      2. Oh heck! We can be nervous wrecks together then!! I am just as nervous trust me. That’s why I’ve been doing as much reading on Rafflecopter as I can so I get it right. They even suggest filling the giftbox with glitter!! Which sounds like a fun idea as long as each item is wrapped well I’d love to get a box stuffed with glitter lol!
When you are ready or I am, we can bounce idea’s back and forth which will help us both I think. šŸ™‚

  2. Oh I’m so glad you liked everything! Thank you so much for writing this post–I had been planning on writing one up about the giveaway, but forgot to photograph everything so I just scratched the idea. I love your analogy about the frame reminding you of the dress that the mice sew for Cinderella! šŸ™‚
