On a recent outing I was surprised to see a store named Five Below. It is a store that sells everything $5.00 and under. I had heard about it but didn’t know that there was any local. So as I passed it on the way to Hobby Lobby in Manchester I made a mental note that I had to stop and see what they had.
I was thrilled to see that they had a lot of nail polishes and because I love my nail polish it was necessary to add to the collection. Here is what I bought.
1.) Arrowhead by Fresh Paint
3.) Pep Rally by Funky Fingers
4.) Pretty in Plum and Gumdrops by Nicole by OPI
I am always excited to purchase nail polishes especially when they are inexpensive. The Nicole by OPI set was $5.00 and the 3 other polishes were 3 for $5.00. Who wouldn’t love a great deal?
I love finding inexpensive items. Usually when I go out shopping I am on the prowl for a great deal. On this particular day out I happened to find myself at Wal-Mart. As I was looking around I ended up in with the handbags and accessories department. I needed to get a new wallet because my Coach clutch was beginning to look a little shabby. I was so excited when I found two really cute wallets.
The one I’ve been using the most is the black and white chevron pattern wallet. The pink and black leopard print hasn’t been needed yet but I’m sure I’ll be swapping them out soon enough. The both are exactly identical with the patterns being the only exception. They both have a convenient little hand strap to easily carry it with me. They also have 5 slots for credit cards and a clear pocket for IDs. There is also a zippered outside pocket for change as well as an inside pocket for cash. The best part about them both is that they also have another pocket that fits my Samsung Galaxy S3 phone, which makes shopping much easier and less to hold onto. They also have one snap to keep everything closed and it helps prevent something falling out.
The best part is that I spent $3.00 for each wallet. I just love great deals. Have you found any great deals lately? Share them in the comments below!
With all the snow we’ve been bombarded with I decided that I needed a little bit of Spring, even if it was only my nails!
To create this look I started with Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails for my base coat. I then used Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails Xtreme Wear in 340 Raspberry Rave on all my nails except for my ring fingers. I applied 2 coats on each nail. I then used Color Mates Groovy Green on my ring fingers (2 coats as well.) I thought it still needed to be jazzed up a bit more so I placed Kiss nail art stickers on each finger. I matched the stickers on each nail on the opposite hand and finished it off with a top coat from Pure Ice.
This look was really simple to do the only downside was that the Kiss nail art stickers with the gems didn’t want to stay on. Those particular fingers required extra TLC and an additional layer of top coat. Then I got sick of trying to keep them on so I started over on the raspberry nails, repainted them and left off the stickers.
I first have to start by saying that my husband Dave is just an all around awesome and great guy! He really spoiled me this Valentine’s Day. This post is a little late but I figured I’d share with you the gifts he gave me.
1.) A heart necklace with swarovski crystals covering the heart.
2.) A necklace with a heart covered in swarovski crystals that dangles inside of a silver band with hearts printed into it’s side.
3.) A red swarovski crystal heart necklace
There were even more gifts that I will share a little later. I don’t mean to brag through this post but when you find that special someone that is so good to you it’s hard not to want to tell everyone!
This is probably one of my most favorite nail designs to date. I was rummaging through my nail art bin and came across a set of chevron guide stickers and figured I’d give it a try. I didn’t even know I had them but as soon as I found them I was brainstorming away.
I started out with Sally Hansen’s Hard as Nails for a base coat. Once that was dry I applied two coats of white by L.A. Colors which is part of their Color Craze line. Once all of that was dry I applied the chevron guides to the middle of my nails (or as close to it as possible.) I then applied 2 coats of Wet N’ Wild by Fergie in A007 Miami Spirit to the bottom half of my nails. I then applied 2 coats of Wet N’ Wild by Fergie in A015 Dana to the top portions of my nails. I then slowly removed the chevron guide stickers. Once everything was dry I completed the look with a top coat by Pure Ice and cleaned up around the edges as best as I could.
Overall the Wet N’ Wild by Fergie polishes have worked really well for me and they are fairly inexpensive and available at local drugstores. I will more than likely be adding more of this nail polish line into my collection in the future.
