We want your opinion!

We are looking to visit Universal Studios this year. More than likely during Halloween. So we want to hear your recommendations on where you think we should stay on Universal property. We’ve already stayed at The Cabana Bay Beach Resort but none of the other hotels. Any input would be great! Thanks so much!

The Blizzard of 2015: We survived!

Most of New England got slammed in the past few days. We were not spared. We accumulated about 30″ of snow. The wind was whipping and the snow drifts were insane. Now we’ve lived in New England for most of our lives (the wife actually all her life) but there’s something about a storm like this that we will never enjoy! But luckily we managed to survive and we didn’t even lose power!
Here’s a little video of what was going on outside our house!

And of course some pictures of the aftermath!

It’s been awhile!

Well first and foremost we must apologize for taking such a long hiatus! Things got incredibly busy and we are now just catching up on things now that life seems like it’s slowed down a little bit.

We’d love to share with you some of our adventures in Orlando back in October! We’ll probably be updating little by little because we don’t want to forget anything. We hope you enjoy it!

We will start today with our hotel, The Cabana Bay Beach Resort. We absolutely loved our stay there. The hotel was gorgeous and we loved our stay. There was a major hiccup along the way. On our second night the alarms started sounding off at around 3 am and we were not sure what was going on. We found out the next morning that the building we were in had a water main break. Booo to no hot showers in the morning! We ended up fixing ourselves up the best we could and ventured off to the parks. The staff assured us when we returned all would be fixed. Of course we were disappointed when we returned hours later only to learn that the water had not been fixed. We ended up contacting the front desk and they were kind enough to move our rooms. They even upgraded us to a family suite in a different building. Moving our belongings to a new building and room was a pain but it ended up being worth it. I mean we were long overdue for a shower at that point. The staff was even kind enough to give us free drink vouchers that we could use at the resort.

One of the best parts about the resort is the free shuttles to City Walk. It allowed us to not really worry about transportation. It was even better because it gave us the freedom to enjoy some adult beverages without having to worry about driving.

Here are some pictures we took at the resort!

And a few pictures of our room.

We almost forgot to mention the lazy river and the fire pits!
