Weekly Wandering #3… Recap
The answer to this week’s challenge is that this is a sign located in Toon Lagoon in the Islands of Adventure theme park. It is in front of Popeye and Bluto’s Bilge Rat Barges, a water themed ride.

Vacation Countdown~ 78 days left!!

Today is all about memes and monsters! Well we actually thought that we would do a meme and of course we were thrilled to have found one here that is also related to monsters. Our vacation countdown is somewhat Halloween related since we will be in Universal Studios Orlando for the actual holiday. So here is Mrs. Travelers answers to the monster meme!

Monster Meme
Vampire: Someone offers you a chance at immortality. Do you take it, and why or why not?
No way! The idea of not having to die sounds great and all but no way!

Werewolf: If you had to spend your life with just one person, who would it be?
Mr. Travelers, there is no one else that I would want to spend the rest of my life with. He’s awesome in so many ways! I’d be lost without him!

Witch: If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
The need for war. I love watching old military documentaries but at the end of the movies the loss of human life really bothers me.

Ghost: Do you have any regrets?
I don’t really have any regrets. I am a firm believer that when we know better we do better (now I sound like Oprah!) So without having messed up a few times I wouldn’t know any better and would continue to do things wrong.

Frankenstein: Is someone telling you how to live your life, or are you an independent person?
I’ve always liked to think that I am an independant person but I also see where sometimes I need to step back, suck up my pride and ask for help.

Mummy: If you were to fall into an eternal sleep, do you think anyone would miss you?
I think there would be a few people that would miss me. Well at least I hope so!

Zombie: Do you miss anyone right now?
I miss my Nana something terrible. She was the most caring human being on the face of the planet. I can honestly say without her support and guidance throughout my life I wouldn’t be where I am today. Now that she has passed away I just hope she knows what she meant to me.

Faerie: If you could get away with anything, what would you do?
I probably wouldn’t do much of anything. Anything involving danger or being frightened is no good for me!

Nymph: What are you like when you’re by yourself?
I tend to be quiet and a little bit of a loner. I usually sit and reflect on the day or read a good book.

Mermaid: How far would you go to keep the one you love?
I’d do anything for him. He is such a sweet guy and totally worth anything in this world.

Shapeshifter: What would you change about yourself?
This would be far too long of a list and let’s be real, nobody’s got time for that!

Banshee: If you knew one of your loved ones/best friends had only one day left to live, how would you spend that last day with them?
I’d spend it however they want it to be spent. I wouldn’t even want to think about something like this.

Siren: If you could make anyone do anything, what would you make them do?
I’d make my father take me to his hometown in Italy. It’s always been a life long dream of mine to visit his hometown with him, something he doesn’t want to do. Since the day he left he has never wanted to return which is something that saddens me, especially for him.

Genie: If you had one wish that would come true and couldn’t be reversed, what would you ask for?
I’d ask to see my Nana again. Just to have one more conversation with her would be awesome!

Fury: What is a word/phrase that you dread to hear?
I can not stand the word yeast. I can’t explain it but I do know that I dislike the word… a lot!

Incubus: What would someone have to do to get in your pants?
They would have to turn into my husband.

Succubus: What’s one thing you can’t live without?
Once again my husband. He’s such a great guy I wouldn’t know what to do without him!

Vacation Countdown~ 79 days left!!

As you might already know we are a little obsessed with all things Universal Studios Orlando so when a few of our family members had the opportunity to whisk away to the Wizarding World we were more than excited to have them report back to us. We must admit we were a little disappointed to hear their findings and experiences.

Their experiences with both Hogsmeade and Diagon Alley were completely different. They explained how both the Forbidden Journey and Gringott’s Bank were both excellent rides but the wait times for Gringott’s Bank was extremely excessive. They were able to find some relief to the queue lines by using the single rider line, that is up until Universal closed that line. The queue line for Gringott’s Bank was really an inconvenience. They spent 2 hours in line only then to receive a voucher for a locker to store their items and were told to get back in line, which then took another 2 hours before they were able to get on the ride. Their experience with the Forbidden Journey ran rather smoothly. Overall they actually preferred the Forbidden Journey to Gringott’s Bank.

They also tried to purchase an interactive wand in Diagon Alley. They could not find any employee within Diagon Alley that even remotely knew what they were looking for. Eventually they ended up purchasing a non interactive wand. It was even more disappointing when they were able to find an employee who did know what they were talking about. They were then told the interactive wands were only available in Hogsmeade. Since they already had a wand they decided not to purchase another one. We were really disappointed to hear that their experience in Diagon Alley was not a pleasant one. We can really only assume that since the whole area is still really new maybe the employees still need to get up to speed.
Here are some more pictures of the wand, which we now know is a character wand. It is Professor Slughorn’s wand from Slytherin House.

Since this was their first visit to the Wizarding World, they felt that their experience in Hogsmeade was far better than their experience in Diagon Alley. We hope that during our visit the experience in Diagon Alley will be a pleasant one with far less crowds and less Florida heat.

Vacation Countdown~ 80 days left!!

We have finally solved our luggage situation! We were given a small piece of luggage from someone who was looking to throw it away. It’s in decent shape so we were thankful to receive it. We also ended up finding a 5 piece luggage set at Macy’s. The set was on sale and we had a small balance left on a gift card we had received a few months back so we bought the set. With the new luggage hopefully traveling through the airports will be a breeze.

Here are some pictures of the new luggage set.

Unfortunately Macy’s on hand stock did not include an all black set so we settled for this one. Mr. Travelers is really going to enjoy carrying around the zebra print!!
